I’d like to share some organization methods I practice daily My things have their own spaces and never leave when not in use 01. Right place, right after use I put things back to where they belong right after you use them I no longer spend extra time on cleaning up as I keep my rules I put shoes in the shoe closet as I come back home My favorite shoes I wear most frequently get the best spot in the closet The entrance gives the first impression to my house where I’d like it clean all the time 02. Assign their own address to your every items It’s easier to find your things when they’re always stored in the same place all the time 03. Organizing the closet Don’t you feel nice when your stuffs are in order in the closet? When you keep space between your things, it’s easier to take’em out and organize them after use 04. Avoid to use plastics and vinyl I try my best to use sustainable products like glass, wooden and stainless steel items instead of disposable products Not only the material of the containers, I also try to focus on natural contents inside the containers. Store food in sealed glass containers instead of sanitary bags Wipe with quick-drying gauze towels instead of paper kitchen towels No vinyl, but reusable cotton pouches The further you stay away from disposable products, the nicer your home and environment get 05. What to buy and how to organize I only re-purchase ingredients and all the supplies that are mandatory to my life I try to buy the minimum quantity of supplies to avoid to possess more than I need. As I went out of cotton pads, I found a reusable eco-friendly cotton pads online They are made of organic bamboo cotton that are reusable after washing them Unfortunately I could not find any of these in my country so that I needed to buy from overseas. But there will be good chances to purchase more easily if there are more consumers seeking these eco-friendly products You can also Google how to make your own ‘reusable cotton pads.’ When I happen to possess more than I need, I try to share with my beloved ones But make sure to check if they need them or not before sharing could be a burden for them when unnecessary I had extra natural loofahs and reusable cotton pads, so I wrapped them with a cotton pouch instead of gift wrap or plastic bags Cotton pouches are perfect for carrying your belongings or vegetables. They are great for alternative uses Here is my zero-waste gift wrap! I recently bought a bag of oraganic leaf tea The scent and taste was great but the quantity was too vast for me Luckily a friend of mine visited my place and loved the tea so we decided to share. Of course with a sealed glass container will do it. 06 Organizing refrigerator I store left-over, vegetables to be used and rice in sealed glass containers As I practice myself as a vegetarian, I only go grocery shopping when I eat up all the ingredients in the fridge I rather eat fresh ingredients than processed foods and try to make dressing with my own recipe than buying ready-to-eat products 07. Preparing meals and cleaning up Let’s get ready to cook! I love one dish meals with simple recipes More ingredients when I starve, otherwise less and simpler according to my condition Stir garlic, carrots and cabbages with oil Add salt, pepper and parsley in the end, here goes a very easy and simple sauteed cabbage A cup of water with a lime slice gives it a perfection I wash dishes and clean up my kitchen right after I finish my meal It doesn’t take much time since there aren’t many When dish wash is done, wipe the wet dishes with a gauze towel I put dry dishes and kitchen utensils in place Wiping table and sink area finishes up my after-meal organizing You need a little effort to keep your home a fully comfortable and resting place If you think of it as a ritual to cherish my life, it is not at all stressful Organizing is not just cleaning up your space. It also gives spaces to your mind I’d like to share this feeling with those who watch this video As always, thank you for watching!
