Home Organization Ideas

Hello! Mridu Parikh, your personal life organizer. And I just returned from a 3-Day NAPO(National Association of Professional Organizers) Conference in New Orleans. Yes, this is the total geek fest for organizers, and no, we didn’t all make our beds in the morning even though housekeeping was coming, well not every day. We also got to take a sneak peek of some of the latest organizing products! Today I want to share with you 3 products
that I really love because they are products that you’re familiar with that are probably already using, but they’ve tweaked them a little bit to make them even more efficient and more useful. Product 1: Here’s a little notebook from staples, and it’s called the arc system. And what’s so great about it is because you might be using notebooks for things like taking all your to do list down or capturing your thoughts or notes. But the problem is that all your notes get mixed up in the same categories. Then unlike a binder, you can just like clip them out and put them to the right sections. So this is really awesome like for instance
if you have a note; you really want it to be upfront or somewhere else, you can pull it right out and then you can put it to the section you wanted to go in and simply stick it right back in. You don’t have to open in any binder and put stuff in. It’s really easy to adjust where your papers go and nothing falls out. This is awesome, just a really simple revision to a regular notebook to make it even more useful. Product 2: If you are a cubicle girl like
I am, you have this all over the place. But the problem is sometimes you don’t have enough stuff to fill up a whole one and you wish there was a smaller space so it will still fit it into your cubicle. So real simple has come up with the half cube. I love it! So you can see, two of these would take up one cube in your storage space. These are great if you have books or magazines or newspapers that you want to hold vertically,
or you just have tall things that you don’t need this whole box for and you can use your space more efficiently. You can double up to have two of these and one of the cubes. It’s awesome! Okay and lastly, Product 3: You probably very familiar with your Ziploc bag. You know they’re durable and heavy duty. And now, you can get these flexible Ziploc totes that hold all your clothes, or comforters or pillows. In fact, this one tote holds all my sweaters. They have a zipper, they’re super durable,
you can stack them and they have handles. Go Ziploc. Alright, there you have them, the twist on
products you’re already using to make them even more efficient and useful for you. Now, I would love to know from you of which one of those you love the best. Let me know in the comments below please and stay tuned for next Wednesday when I finally revealed my new website and my new organizing swagger. But I seriously can’t wait for you to see it. Wishing you a very stress free week! I’ll
see you next Wednesday. Mwuah!

  17. Love the notebook!' How cool is that!! Binder and notebook got marrried!!! πŸ™‚

  18. Ziploc bags are definitely the favorite product so far. Btw, the size I showed were XL..(not L). thanks for joining in πŸ™‚ xo, mridu

  19. OH MY! I love all 3, but if I had a to choose, since Im a notebook junkie for writing things down… I LOVE the respositionable notebook best!!!!

  20. Mridu, hurry and create a third, or quarter size cube insert, and make that bajillion! πŸ™‚ I'd be your best customer!!! πŸ™‚ Love it!

  21. I love it too! In fact, I've been using mine every day :))

  22. if only I could! :))

  23. Those ziplock bags are how I now house my taxes each year. They come in literally a huge ziplock bag size also, besides the tote size you showed (which I store clothing in). Bankers boxes seem to attract bugs so this seems perfect.

  24. This vid is four years old and i've never seen the half cubes or zip bags in stores in all this time! … but i do have several arc notebooks i've been neglecting lately so thanks to you my dear lady i'll probably be digging them out this week and taking another look at them – one thing i love about the arc is how quiet they are when moving pages around instead of the loud click that ring binders make, thats real important when others are trying to sleep nearby,
