Fix files being saved as JFIF back to JPG (JPEG)

Hey, so I noticed recently when saving
JPEGs from my web browser they were getting saved as .jfif files, or JFIF
files, and that’s obviously not right, so to fix that we can open Registry Editor,
and to do that you just click the Windows icon, start typing regedit: REGEDIT, and you can either click or press Enter to launch the program, I’ve obviously already got that open here, and you need to go to this address here, I’ll put this
in the video description so you could just copy and paste it, or if you’d
rather go through the folders manually you’re going to be looking for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, open that, and if you type MIM it will jump down to MIME, and then
we can click Database and open that, open Content Type, press IM to jump down to image, and we’re looking for image/jpeg and then all all we’ve got to do is
double-click Extension and just rename that from jfif to jpg, so .jpg press
OK, close Regedit, you might need to restart and then that should be it! If
this video was useful to you please give me a thumbs-up, or if you’d like to write me a comment please do that, or if you’d like to subscribe, please do that. Thanks for watching 🙂
