Dedicated to All Better: Fran Solomon

when I started at Children’s the
hospital was Egleston it was 52 beds and that’s what I remember and how
overwhelming it seemed because it looks so big to me the problems and the issues
and everything that were there at that small Hospital are the same ones that
are there now the families are families who are scared the children are children
who are sick and that way nothing much has changed gee how could it be 35 years when you
get up every morning and you go to work and you get up the next morning you go
to work and then somebody says hey you’ve been there 35 years but it does
make you pause and realize I’ve given all my life to it your focus was just
totally on the families I loved what I did I really loved it I was so happy
when I got up in the morning and went to work it was a great great way of going
through life knowing that you were doing something that helped other people here
I felt like I made a difference I really did
