  1. This is soooooo much better than 'Future' and his poor ability to speak English.

  2. Takes me back to the 90's.

  3. My heart beats for Conor Oberst ♥️

  4. Is that Nick Zinner playing lead guitar?

  5. I absolutely love this. The old school 4:3 is great. I've been listening to the album all morning

  6. Already a huge fan

  7. Dry Ice Therapy at the Better Oblivion Community Center lol

  8. To each their own, and I usually like contemporary rock/folk, but the vocals were flat. Perhaps this was just a bad one-off performance.

  9. this is, by all means, a historic day.

  10. recall that zinner also played on digital ash

  11. Why so many pedals for one song?

  12. Stayed up late and got to hear them…yes, yes, yes!

  13. Are we ignoring the one constant in every Phoebe group? The look-a-like bassist… as long as she’s there I have faith that it’ll all work out

  14. Hello there Nick Zinner

  15. Sounds like the mid-90s.

  16. It took me eight seconds to realise how good this was. Sorry for being slow.

  17. Nick from the yyy too damn

  18. “I’m taking a shower at the Bates Motel” —> lyrical genius!

  19. thank you for having them on your show stephen

  20. I'm so fucking happy omfg 😭😭

  21. stephen really enjoys midtempo 4/4 time with both major and minor chords.

please welcome the same band as every other night!

  22. We need to LIMIT terms for senators and congressmen too much time is killing America they are the ones living off TAXPAYERS

  23. ..Nick Zinner casually shredding in the back.. 🙄

  24. Love it! Sounds great!

  25. Wonderful song.
Also, truly appreciate the post production and getting creative with it.

  26. Maybe now I can stop only listening Bright Eyes ever.

  27. Nick Zinner just there like its no big deal!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!

  28. Wow she sounds just like Louise Weaner and sleeper

  29. What a great performance, and what a wonderful surprise this record!

  30. Just listened to the album today! Love Conor Oberst!

  31. she's got a real thing for early 2000's folk icons

  32. Jesus christ praise allah

  33. Hello 1990… I think you dropped this.

  34. Bridgers doesn't stop making music and I'm loving every second of it.

  35. Anyone tried calling the number on screen?

  36. You can never be in too many bands. If they're all as good as Conor's. Looking forward to listening to Phoebe Bridgers' stuff 'cos I don't know her..

  37. Hmm, didn't expect to, but I hate this. It just sounds painfully generic. Oh well.

  38. Thank you, Stephen and company, for showcasing such musical talent!!!!

  39. I feel soo grateful for this gift! I’ve grown up with Conor’s music and since his health scare, I was afraid we weren’t going to get much more music from him. I wish I could thank him for saving my life with his hella relatable and often dark yet beautiful poetry. This is soo fun and fresh for him, I am living for BOCC!

  40. Spent high school back in the early/mid aughts hooked on listening to Bright Eyes, my main pastime then. I love Conor and really enjoy Phoebe Bridger's music. I'm wedged in the middle of their respective generations so it's a really refreshing listen. I never thought I'd have an interest in seeing Conor perform again, but this may be it. High school never dies.

  41. Love this album. So good.

  42. They are magic together

  43. Love this album… so many great tracks!

  44. Love that vhs aesthetic

  45. All the haters, it’s their first live performance. Their album got pretty good reviews.

  46. Jesus Christ, this is so fcking perfect

  47. 90's are alive on Colbert

  48. just a casual Nick Zinner

  49. 5’ guitar necks.

  50. Seeing them soon! 🖤🥀

  51. Phoebe Bridgers seriously, stop making so much good music I'm getting crazy. I still have to get over boygenius unbelievable EP. And now this!

  52. Conor Oberst will always be my musical god. He's just brilliant.

  53. lmao this is trippy, esp when they were in the audience

  54. I love how they zoom on the wrong guitar for the solo at the end

  55. Was hoping for something unique and creative but this is terrible. Go listen to Thelonious Monster, blows this crap out of the water.

  56. Is that the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s guitarist?

  57. Took me a couple of listens on the album but this is my favorite shit so far! It's good natured !

  58. Just bought tix to see them play in late Mrach (Chicago). Can't wait!

  59. Colbert didn't f that tongue twister up at all!!! This record is gold! THANK YOU!!!!

  60. I didn't know Aubrey Plaza played drums!

  61. Love this collaboration.

  62. This is why kids don’t listen to rock music anymore.

  63. Shits gonna blow up

  64. Conor is looking like Elliott Smith and it’s freaking me out.

  65. Two fantastic musicians paired = awesomeness squared! Can't wait to see you live, Come play Brooklyn, ny

  66. Is the rest of the album that good?

  67. Just scored tickets to see them in London in May. Phoebe is new to my life, Conor has been there for fifteen something years. I’m utterly in love with both of them

  68. I'm gonna listen to it again…

  69. Turn the tambourine up a bit I reckon…

    I jest. This is great.

  70. ….zzz…
    This is hipster sub-mediocrity

  71. Okay fine I'll be the one to break it.

    Who tf mixed this.

  72. is that whatsisname from the yeah yeah yeahs?

  73. I enjoy watching orange man bad television and listening to orange man bad music.

  74. Whats the number for? Anyone called it? 1:51 lol

  75. They need to save up $25 , for a guitar tuner.

  76. When Nick Zinner is the guitarist you know it's gonna be good.

  77. This is the sort of music parents love to hate. So damn good.

  78. What chord formations is Conor playing over the solo? That hand shape all over the neck!

  79. Idk, I didn't know Conor until last year, but I don't like his voice. He's a good songwriter, but Phoebe is amazing and above him in every way. I hope she doesn't stop releasing and writing her own music. I didn't mind her with Boygenius, though, that is the group I'd like to see a full album from.

  80. Saw them in Dublin last Monday.. fckn brilliant
